Floral Still Life with Irises and Fruit – Attributed to Josef Multrus

This expressive floral still life presents a bouquet of yellow, purple and white irises in a tall ceramic vase, accompanied by fruit and drapery. Yellow, purple and green tones contrast with the restrained pale-green background.

The work is painted in oil on canvas. Parts of the flowers display pronounced texture and visible impasto brushwork. A signature appearing to read “MULTRUS” is present at the lower left.

Based on the signature and stylistic characteristics, the painting is attributed to Josef Multrus (1898–1957). The attribution has not been confirmed by an independent expert and does not constitute a certificate of authenticity.

Condition
