1. Goods offered and their description
We sell antiques, used and collectible items, and separately identified retro products and replicas. The essential characteristics, dimensions, material, availability and known condition are stated for each product. For older items, the described wear must be taken into account. Describing authorship, age or origin as probable or attributed does not constitute expert verification. This does not limit express statements in the description or the customer's statutory rights.
Presentation photographs may have digitally edited surrounding backgrounds. Such editing does not constitute restoration of the item. Any restoration, new frame or other services are included in the purchase only to the extent expressly agreed for the order; their price and scope must be agreed in advance. We do not present replicas or reproductions as historical originals.
2. Orders and the purchase contract
Select the goods for your cart, enter your contact and delivery details, and choose an available delivery and payment method. Before submitting the order, you can check and correct all details, the goods and the total price. By submitting a binding order using a button indicating an obligation to pay, you order the goods with an obligation to pay. The purchase contract is concluded when the seller receives the binding order; we will acknowledge receipt of the order without undue delay at the email address provided.
The contract may be concluded in Czech; the store also offers English and German language versions. We retain order details to process the order and fulfil statutory obligations; they are not publicly accessible. Please retain your order confirmation. These terms apply to purchases by consumers; business buyers have the rights provided for by the applicable statutory provisions.
3. Price and payment
Prices of goods include all applicable taxes. Delivery costs are added separately, and the total amount is displayed before the order is submitted. The price and currency confirmed at checkout apply to the order. Additional paid services may be added only with your express consent.
Available payment methods are displayed at checkout, particularly payment cards through Shopify Payments and PayPal. Specific options depend on the country, currency and device. We do not charge special fees for ordinary communication with us; you pay your provider for internet access and telephone use according to your tariff.
4. Delivery
Free local delivery is available in the standard checkout for eligible orders and Prague addresses with postal codes 100 00 to 249 99. Standard delivery within the Czech Republic outside this area costs CZK 420 per order. The availability and price of international delivery are displayed at checkout before ordering. Local delivery requires that the entire order can be fulfilled from our Prague location; some accelerated checkouts do not display it.
Unless a different delivery time has been agreed for the order, we will deliver the goods without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the purchase contract is concluded. In the event of delay, the consumer has the rights provided for by law, including the option to grant a reasonable additional period and then withdraw; in cases provided for by law, withdrawal is possible without granting an additional period. Standard delivery does not automatically include carrying upstairs, assembly or other individually arranged services.
The risk of damage or loss passes to the consumer upon receipt of the goods; a statutory exception applies if you choose your own carrier whom we did not offer. The recommended inspection of the shipment upon receipt does not limit the right to complain about a defect discovered later. For details, see Shipping and payment.
5. Withdrawal, returns and complaints about defects
For online purchases, a consumer is entitled to withdraw without giving a reason within 14 days of receipt of the goods or, where applicable, the last part of a single order. Withdrawal is also possible before delivery. The age or used condition of an item does not in itself remove this right. Detailed instructions, refund rules, return costs and an optional model form are included in our returns and complaints policy.
We are liable for defects that the goods had upon receipt and that become apparent within two years. These terms do not shorten this period for used goods; ordinary wear corresponding to previous use is not a defect. We will resolve complaints, including remedying the defect and informing you of the outcome, within 30 days at the latest, unless otherwise agreed individually. Complaints about defects may be submitted to antique-city@antique-city.com or at our business premises at Arbesovo náměstí 314/10, 150 00 Praha 5; this does not affect statutory options for submitting them elsewhere.
6. Personal data and dispute resolution
Our privacy policy describes the processing of personal data. Please use the contact details above for general enquiries and complaints.
The competent body for out-of-court resolution of a consumer dispute is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Central Inspectorate – ADR Department, Gorazdova 1969/24, 120 00 Praha 2, adr@coi.gov.cz; coi.gov.cz/informace-o-adr/. An application may be submitted no later than one year after the disputed right was first asserted with us.
7. Final provisions
We are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, particularly the Civil Code and the Consumer Protection Act. This choice does not limit the protection afforded to consumers by mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence. The terms in effect when a particular contract is concluded apply to that order; later changes do not automatically apply to a contract already concluded.
